Press release of PCSC April 2024 consolidated revenue

In April 2024, PCSC achieved a consolidated revenue of 26.822 billion (NTD), representing a 7.8% increase compared to the same period last year. This achievement marks a historical high for the same period. 7-ELEVEN Taiwan continues to steadily expand its stores, focusing on the development and promotion of topic products such as fresh food, CITYCAFE, soft-serve ice cream, Slurpee, chilled drinks, and pre-orders through diverse online and offline service channels. Moreover, PCSC integrates group resources to demonstrate the future retail landscape, welcomes the new generation of composite plaza "Par K* Avenue," and continues to explore the future of retail with the pioneering "X-STORE Micro-store," providing a better and optimized lifestyle shopping experience through various store formats. As for our subsidiaries, 7-ELEVEN Philippines, COSMED, Transnet, Starbucks delivered outstanding performance and contributed to the revenue growth. 

Taiwan 7-ELEVEN is deeply cultivating the OPENPOINT ecosystem with over 17 million members. Through lifestyle experience activities such as Member's Day with 10 times points, ChingMing holiday special discounts, and using points for discounts on trending new products, it continuously enhances member convenience and quality service by integrating digital service channels such as iPre-order, iDiscount, and OPEN NOW. This effort continues to drive historical record-high transaction amounts among members, with growth exceeding 10% year-on-year.

7-ELEVEN Taiwan's fresh food segment focuses on three main approaches: seasonal light meals, cross-industry collaborations, and supporting local producers. Traditional foods like sweet potatoes and tea eggs are experiencing a surge in demand, while star-rated braised snacks such as tofu and garlic-flavored spicy pickled vegetables are being introduced. Additionally, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan's in-house brand "Star Rated Cuisine" collaborated with Japan's Kagaya Onsen to launch a summer-inspired selection of cold dishes, rice balls, bento boxes, and udon noodles. In a first-time collaboration with HERSHEY’S, the bakery introduced a series of new sweet treats including mini round cakes, soft cookies, and soft pastries. By partnering with the Ministry of Agriculture to develop affordable "Happiness Meal Boxes" using local ingredients, they've enriched their product offerings and community engagement, leading to over 10% growth in related categories.

7-ELEVEN Taiwan continues to innovate with 24-hour made-to-order beverages and ice cream experiences. CITY CAFE continues to refine its coffee service, launching a classic cocoa drink collaboration with HERSHEY'S GOOD TIME. CITY TEA, now in its 10th year of providing freshly brewed tea, maintains its market distinction through its commitment to selecting premium teas and offering 24-hour freshly brewed options. CITY PEARL's collaboration with "KEBUKE Tea" continues to be a hot seller, complemented by innovative products introduced in celebration of International Bubble Tea Day on April 30th. Furthermore, the continued popularity of Fanta Green Tea flavored Slurpee and "Calpis" flavored ice cream further stirs online discussions, driving steady growth in related categories.


7-ELEVEN Taiwan seizes the opportunity before the peak season for frozen treats by integrating the iPreorder platform for its second Ice Cream Expo. Under the dual themes of "Cute Characters" and "Powerful Collaborations," they launch over 20 exclusive new ice cream products. Welcoming the new Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) season and the cross-league goddess event, they introduce themed merchandise. In response to Earth Day 2024, they offer affordable deals on their "Veggie Selection" and CITY series oat milk drinks, while the entire store features environmentally friendly items such as reusable backpacks, food bags, and eco-friendly cups. Anticipating Mother's Day in May, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan proactively integrate preorder, iPreorder, and iOPEN Mall services, offering themed activities, spending rewards, and free shipping for qualifying purchases, resulting in nearly a 10% growth in related category sales.

Looking ahead to May 2024, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan sets the stage with a decade of consecutive recognition for being in the top 5% of corporate governance evaluations. 7-ELEVEN Taiwan will continue active expansion of online and offline services to meet the demands of Mother's Day. They take the lead in integrating group resources to launch a series of Uni-President Group LOVE MOM activities, with contributions from 14 major brands across the group offering air-shipped Colombian carnations and exclusive member events. 7-ELEVEN Taiwan's dessert brand, "LADEARS," makes a grand debut, further expanding their presence in the dessert market. Innovating during tax season, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan pioneer the OPENPOINT full deduction for electricity bills and offer shopping vouchers for payment at nearby stores. They will continue to roll out a diverse range of products and services tailored to life's celebrations, seasons, and themed days, closely aligning with consumer needs to construct a lifestyle service platform.
