Press release of PCSC June 2024 consolidated revenue

In June 2024, PCSC achieved a consolidated revenue of 27.829 billion (NTD), representing a 6.31% increase compared to the same period last year. This achievement marks a historical high for the same month, also marks a second high for the second quarter. 7-ELEVEN Taiwan continues to steadily expand its stores, focusing on the development and innovation in membership, fresh food, bakery, CITYCAFE, and beverages through diverse online and offline service channels. Moreover, PCSC integrates group resources to celebrates Uni-Lions CPBL's 35th season first-half championship and creates a new retail experience with the new generation of composite plaza  "Park 17" in Southern Taiwan Science Park. As for our subsidiaries, 7-ELEVEN Philippines, COSMED, 7-ELEVEN Shanghai, Starbucks Taiwan, Uni-President Department Store delivered outstanding performance and contributed to the revenue growth. 

7-ELEVEN Taiwan continues to deepen its engagement with the nearly 18 million members of the OPENPOINT ecosystem. By offering exclusive discounts and innovative services that cater to everyday needs, the company has achieved continuous double-digit growth in member contributions. Leading the industry, an 11% subsidy on electricity bills using points has been introduced to address summer electricity usage. This initiative has driven steady growth in the members using points to pay bills and increased customer visit frequency to stores. The mobile ordering and pickup app capitalized on the summer season by enhancing and expanding its product range to include room temperature beverages, chilled drinks, ice products, Slurpees, and soft serve ice cream. Additionally, to celebrate the Uni-Lions winning the first half of the CPBL 2024 season, a series of exciting activities were launched. These initiatives, coupled with promotions across 7,000 stores, boosted pre-sales by nearly 10% compared to the previous year.

7-ELEVEN Taiwan has driven over a 10% growth in fresh food sales through strategic collaborations, themed events, and support for local products. In response to the summer heat, 7-ELEVEN has partnered with "Somtum Der" to develop new main dishes, salads, and desserts to create appetizing food and beverage options. These offerings are complemented by refreshing deals on cold noodles, ice products, and beverages, providing a variety of summer lifestyle proposals. The European bread market has been expanded with the introduction of the high-quality "Bellopane" bread series, strengthening the bakery segment and continuing the trend of delicious cross-industry collaborations. Targeting the in-home dining needs of small families, the private label "Homeal" collaborates with Michelin-starred chefs from "Fujin Tree Taiwanese Cuisine & Champagne" to launch gourmet frozen ready-to-eat meals, offering convenient new choices.

7-ELEVEN Taiwan continues to innovate with 24-hour freshly made beverages and ice products, supporting local fruits this summer, introducing "Mango Strawberry Ice Cream" through Cold Stone diverse stores, and collaborates with Taoyuan City Government brings "Peach Milk Soft Serve," creating high social media buzz. In addition to new ice products, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan are pioneering in the CVS channel with the exclusive summer ice slushie structure, launching "CITY TEA Fruit Ice Slushie Mango Pomelo Sago." This exclusive technology preserves the fresh fruit texture, catering to consumers' 24-hour convenience needs. The extreme summer heat has also driven sales of room temperature and chilled beverages in stores. These diverse seasonal food and beverage offerings have led to a steady growth of around 10% in related categories.

Through 7,000 stores across Taiwan, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan has successively launched multiple online and offline promotion champaigns for the Dragon Boat Festival holidays, Uni-Lions CPBL's 35th season first-half championship, and sales of noodles and snacks have shown impressive performance, and the introduction of small-sized snacks enrichs consumer choices. In the global purchasing section, the new "Korean Flavors" brand has been introduced, catering to consumer preferences. The summer heat has also boosted sales of imported ice creams, barley drinks, and corn silk tea, meeting ongoing lifestyle demands and driving growth in related categories by over 10%. Key business districts are enhancing lifestyle offerings with the introduction of Watts Japan section featuring uniform price products. Collaborations with popular IPs such as Powerpuff Girls and Hello Kitty in the boutique section offer a range of soothing and practical products, providing diversified choices for consumers.

Entering the peak season for core business and welcoming the graduation job search period, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan is addressing issues of declining birth rates and aging population by integrating an internal mutual assistance platform for manpower, actively establishing innovative recruitment channels spanning across generations, aiming to enhance cooperation between academia and industry to activate human resources comprehensively. This initiative provides job opportunities for all age groups throughout the year. PCSC is collaborating with the Southern Taiwan Science Park to create the innovative "Park 17," designed to offer a friendly environment meeting customers' comprehensive lifestyle needs. Concurrently, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan are initiating diverse sustainability action plans, leading the industry by implementing a limited-time lights-off policy in 1,500 stores to reduce carbon emissions from the operational side, thereby continually leveraging their influence in the retail sector.

Looking ahead to July 2024, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan celebrates reaching its 7000th store milestone, continuing to create rich and wonderful life experiences. Embracing the sweltering summer and travel opportunities, 7-ELEVEN Taiwan continues to innovate with diverse lifestyle offerings, including star-rated cuisine fresh foods, desserts, nostalgic flavored beverages, themed merchandise zones, and premium items such as popular IP lucky bags. Mobile shopping carts are also introduced at the Taitung Hot Air Balloon Festival to meet diverse consumer needs, solidifying its influence in the retail sector and helping to construct a lifestyle service platform that exceeds consumer expectations.
