Cipherlab Mobile Computers Enhance Brazilian Biofuel Productivity
2007-06-06
Cipherlab (6160 Taiwan) supports Brazilian clients, sugarcane growers, to enhance sugar and biofuel productivity by implementing AIDC mobile computer solutions. Today, our clients announced plans to expend their sugarcane planting areas, to meet America’s demand for ethanol energy. Utilizing Cipherlab mobile computers, configured with our AIDC applications, the sugarcane industry is maximizing efficiency in time and attendance tracking, work-in-progress, and inventory control. In an order to increase alternative fuel use, which will lead to more jobs, a cleaner environment and greater independence from the whims of the oil market, US President Bush heralded a new ethanol agreement with Brazil in March 2007 as “the way to boost alternative fuel production across the Americas”. In fact today, in Brazil, nearly eight in 10 new cars already run on fuel made from sugarcane, because it costs a mere 90 cents per gallon to make ethanol from sugarcane, compared to the gasoline wholesale price of $2.02 per gallon. The US, currently developing their ethanol from corn at $1.25 per gallon, have their sights on the much more commercially viable Brazilian sugarcane ethanol. About CipherLab CipherLab is a global leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture/Collection) products and systems.
