Third-Quarter Financial Report

CipherLab (TWN: 6160) today reported unconsolidated sales of $328.61 million for the third quarter of 2008.  The net income for the same period was $61.38 million, or $ 0.87 per share.  
Compared to second quarter of 2008, the third quarter sales decreased 9% while Income from Operations and Net Income decreased 31% and 41%, respectively.  The realized gross margin, operating margin and Net margin for the second quarter were 51%, 25% and 19%, respectively. 
The product mix for third quarter was: 66%, 23% and 11% to mobile computers, hand-held scanners and accessories, respectively. Global Sales Distribution was 12% Asia Pacific, 13% Americas, 43% EMEA, 7% China and 25% Large Direct Accounts.
