Second-Quarter Financial Report

CipherLAB today announced the second quarter consolidated revenue of NT$ 232 million, a 39% decrease compared to the same period of 2008, and net income of NT$19 million and earnings per share of NT$ 0.28.
1. Gross margin was 57%, 11 percentage points higher than 1Q09.
2. Operating expenses was 39% of revenue, 3 percentage points higher than 1Q09.
Total operating expenses for 2Q09 was NT$90.59 million, a 17% decrease compare to 1Q09.
3. Net profit margin was 8%, 5 percentage points lower than 1Q09.
4. Product Mix for 2Q09 was 65%, 25% and 10% for Mobile computer, Hand-held scanner and others, respectively.
5. Regional sales contribution: Direct account: 33%, America: 14%, Asia-Pac: 18%, EMEA: 32% and China: 3%.
