Third-Quarter Financial Report

CipherLAB today announced the third quarter consolidated revenue of NT$ 298 million, a 15% decrease compared to the same period of 2008, and net income of NT$25 million and earnings per share of NT$ 0.36.
1. Gross margin was 50%, 7 percentage points lower than 2Q09.
2. Operating expenses was 37% of revenue, 3 percentage points lower than 2Q09.
Total operating expenses for 3Q09 was NT$114.35 million, a 3% decrease compare to 2Q09.
3. Net profit margin was 9%, same as 2Q09.
4. Product Mix for 3Q09 was 60%, 30% and 10% for Mobile computer, Hand-held scanner and others, respectively.
5. Regional sales contribution: Direct account: 25%, America: 17%, Asia-Pac: 15%, EMEA: 33% and China: 10%.
